We do a fixed wire test every 5 years and a weekly test and six monthly service. I am not aware of the need to carry out a fixed wire test every 3 years……Advice please

    Hi
We do a new EICR on every change of tenancy and my understanding is that this is a requirement (to ensure the overall safety of the electrical installation for the incoming tenant)

Similar to others we test alarms during gas service and have a seperate contract for non gas (we only do one visit) We also have Twitter and Facebook campaigns for ‘Test it Tuesday’ that goes out periodically.

Muir carry out a full EICR on all turn around of tenancy’s including mutual exchanges.
We carry out a visual check by the scheme manager when we re allocate a bedspace in our ‘homeless’ ‘move on’ schemes (which could have a daily/weekly turn around).
